Yeah..... finally going to get out of your box, out of your vehicles, and onto the ground where you all belong.... fighting AIDS and whatnot (you are in Africa!). I am not sure.... if you get shot, you either die or heal, if you get AIDS, you just come home and infect everyone. Hmm... we are called Infectious!

Have fun. You'll still have e-mail, right?

Oh... I know that. When you left, you were all giddy on shooting stray, rabid dogs. So I know if you had your way, you'd be a pussy toting a gun! :stirPot:  :wings: :lol3:

I don't know if the Toyota's could do it, but we've had plenty of Jeeps on
Fordyce on 33's. :thefinger:

There are some decent obstacles, and the folks with 33's might have to winch a few times, but this trail isn't just for big tire rigs. It can be run on 35's without winching with a little bit of driving skill, we've been through plenty of times with 35" rigs and no winching. I think there are five water crossings, don't remember for sure. The first two can be deep, the rest are usually no problem. The bad one that a lot of pics show is what's called the committee crossing, which is a short cut back to Cisco Grove but isn't a part of the actual trail.

We quit running it all the way through and then driving back around through Truckee. It's a long drive from Meadow Lake, out the dirt road to the highway, back down to I80 and then back to Cisco Grove to the trailers. We started running it in 3 days. We leave early in the morning and drive up, start the trail mid-afternoon, wheel past the 2nd water crossing and find a good camp spot. The next day we drive the rest of the trail to Meadow Lake, jump in the lake for a swim, then drive back to camp. The next day we drive back out to the start of the trail and load up and drive home. This way we only set up camp once, we avoid the long drive back around, and we get to wheel the trail completely in both directions. We used to run it by driving up and camping close to the trailhead, running the trail all the way through and camping at Meadow lake, then driving back around and home the next day. It's much more fun to run it both ways and camp two nights in the middle.
