Not last summer but the summer of 2010 we did a lot of night runs during the summer months, hopefully we can do it again this year

went down cow flat lastnight. easy trail i know but its my first trip starting and ending in the dark. and i had james (sykopathic) with me, hes never been on any trails. lol shadows off lights make some of the little rutts look huge and totally hid some of the other stuff lol. it was fun though for both of us. lots of road growth in a few places just little baby tracks heading through it to mark the trail.

if we can all agree,,,,,,,,,i know pretty much all the trails in red rock, in fact we just did an "all nighter" saturday/suday may 19th in red rock.
i'd like to see a large group like we've had up at
"freeway ridge" show up in my neck of the woods
just let me know, i'll put something together for everyone

that's the beauty of the red rock trails
there is literally something for everyone
start out in black canyon>> there is a
steep climb out of the wash, but it's very
sticky rock(no locker required)
cruising through the next wash, you can
drop into a lower, parallel wash (if you want to)
which has a couple little rock waterfalls to climb
then jump back on the trail. a similar rock waterfall is just to the right, a mile or so down the trail. there are a few different trails to drop in to "last chance wash" one of them is basically
a dirt rd. one has a few very steep drops (again,, very sticky rock, no locker necessary) BUT: in the dark, it may intimidate some:shock: if some folks need more action>
there is a very challenging waterfall near the opal mine, and few more just off of last chance, below the V-notch, 2 more at the corner of EP-26 & EP-11 on the east end of the trails. SO,,,,, lets put something solid together :drinks: BTW: we don't drive home until morning light, so bring a little food, a little drink, a sleeping bag, and maybe a tent :salute:

Sounds like fun to me. I have to work the weekend of June 2 though. I'm definitely down for other future nights runs though.

june 2nd i'll be at my daughters baby shower
down in the O.C.
that will give us time to possibly put a larger group together :Thumb:
(maybe the folks that do "freeway ridge"
3 times a month will join us) :moon: :bleh:
