If all goes as planned with me getting days off I'd like to do this run again. Just did it with my lil bro on Sunday and loved it. The views and terrain were awesome!!! So lets go 4wheelin while the ladies shop!!! I'll know more about days off come Thursday evening. But as of right now its lookin pretty good!!! So if anyone else can join or would like to let me know!!! We can start as early as we like.

I'm going to go either Fri or Sat. If a group is going to go Fri then I'll push for Fri. Won't want to go too early. I plan on bringing the XJ and the VW buggy, and will drive back down the trail.

Friday will be the only day I can go. I have plans for Saturday. Going down might be a lil sketchy. Especially on the freeway ridge/piston side. Black gulch side might not be as bad. If I can't get a couple people I'll shoot for another weekend

Only other day I might be able to join a run will be Sunday. but I'm not sure about that yet. I'm still hoping Friday works out for me. My lil Bro Mikeys Cougar said he'll prolly make it.

That sounds like a lot of fun in the Tow'd. I hope all goes well and you're able to find all the gears you're looking for.

I'm good for 9:30 at Mesa Marin. I have to go to the shop and hook up the trailer and load the VW, might just tow the jeep out too. See you in the morning.

How did this end up going?

Nice run, perfect weather, crystal clear. Jeremy showed up in his XJ, so Mike in his XJ, Scott in his TJ, me in my XJ, and my brother drove the VW Tow'd. Ran up Black Gulch to Rancheria, then Mike and Scott went to Lake Isabella and we turned around and drove back down the trail. Nice day, left late morning and got back late afternoon. The Tow'd was fun, had to pick a good line since it's 2wd and open diff, but it ran the trail just fine.

I had a great time, always a pleasure running a trail with no mechanical failures. The VW tow'd was awesome! I never expected freeway to be done in a 2wd VW !

I gotta see this vw. I had a Baja for a short time and it amazed me.
