Thinking about hosting a poker and garage night here in Oxnard.... what do you all think?

Thoughts are that I'll provide booze, dinner, and some help with repair or fab items... attendees can bring rigs, mixers, and themselves.

Looking at a monthly schedule. If enough seem interested, I'll drop a bomb and see how many are still interested in an ACTUAL event based on wheeling and the interests of wheelers.

I have a night in mind.... it's a weekday so it will not fuck up your wheeling schedule!

What I need to do for you Bako folks is have a beach party.... I know we've talked about it before, but no one seemed all that interested and this last summer, I was burried deep in Jeep. Maybe next summer I will just put something together and hope some of y'all show up.

some of us ain't independently wealthy, and need to be at work the next day.
even the thursday M&G's in bakes kick my ass on friday.
driving home from the nard hammered, or taking off work the following day
ain't gonna happen.

but talking one or both of the twins into going to the beach for the weekend,
that wouldn't be hard

Now.... seeing I am not getting any local people chiming in. Let me be a little more detailed as an actual event.

You need to one-up Bakersfield to get the participation.

We have the triple-B drawing the crowds.

The presence a Quad-B (beach, buds, beers, and boobs) will surely get the attention of even the most reluctant dalien. What little interest you initially garnered was purely a consequence of our Bakersfield members misreading "Poker party" as "Porker party".
