A couple of friends and I are heading out to the Randsburg - Cuddeback Lake area this coming Sat. (03-12) if the weather cooperates, and the Murphy factor leaves me be for once. Going to try to get up to the Steam Wells Petroglyphs if BLM hasn't closed the trail. Also have spotted a couple of things on Google earth around Cuddeback Lake I'd like to check out.
Just out for the day, so anyone who doesn't mind wheeling with a noob is welcome.

Sounds like an awesome trip! I would love to go but have a commitment for the IOR booth at the 4Wheel Parts car crush event this weekend.

Update:

The friend of mine that was going, his ex-wife threw a shitfit last night, and he has to drive to Nipomo to get her straightened out.
Planning to head out tomorrow. (Sun. 3/13) Will be a little warmer, but a little windier in the afternoon. NWS is saying no rain on the desert side.
Not an area I'd want to be in with thunder storms drifting around.
