I picked up another YJ from Zak. I am continuing what he started and bringing it back to life. I will post start to finish how it is coming. Jeep has the following to start with: 4.2L, Peugeot 5 spd, 4" lift, 37" tires, cut front fenders, D30/D35 with 3.73 gears. I already have this waiting to be put in: SOA, 8.8 rear with Limited Slip, HPD30 and a front locker, high steer, 4.88 Yukon gears and some cosmetic functional items like radio, sun visors, autometer gauges, bezels, latches, plugs and bunch of other goodies. Still looking to pick up the following: auto trans, SYE, rock sliders, 4.0 head, 37" spare, diff covers etc.

:dontknow: I don't know crap so this is more to make sure if i am doing a dumbass move someone here will stop me. :thefinger:

Currently the interior is stripped and ready for Monstaliner this week. I will post pics tomorrow as it looked when I started and each step as I go.

Got the tub done this weekend. Took out everything and started the prep work. Shop vac first, followed by sanding, shop vac, more sanding/scraping, shop vac and then a good scrub down with soap/water. Let everything dry for about an hour then put on first coat. The Monstaliner kit came with everything that was needed even down to the mixing blade. Went on very nicely. I used a roller with no problems. After about 3 hours the first coat was dry and applied a second coat. I think it turned out better than expected. Used about 3/4 of gallon. Will have to wait and see how it wears. Installing all the new interior stuff this week.

Couple before and after pics...

Thanks! I got the autometer gauges installed. Need to figure out why oil pressure isnt reading and get a new speedometer cable. Worked on front bumper, lights and winch last night. Few more things to go then can start focusing on driveline and figuring out how to put the AW4 in with linkage and shifter.

Lol I've considered that! Eric has done some nice work on it. I'm actually in negotiations with a guy on an 87 YJ....just checking into whether it'll be profitable.

In the middle of axle swap and SOA with high steer. Hope to have that done soon and move on to either a 5.2L/46RH swap or put in AW4 and RADesign controllers I picked up to go with the 4.2L.

Decided to stick with the 4.2L/AW4 combo for the time being. Few deliveries came in today.... Currie motor mounts, 4.2L full gasket set, CB radio, Softopper and then picked up my RockHard sliders from 4wp!

Mine is still tight after about a year, was actually to tight when installed and had to install differnt bars on cage to make it fit.

Do you have padding on cage? I am using rollcage padding from victory cicle could make a big difference.

I have the stock padding. Its the thicker stuff. The windows are kind of loose and look big. I'll bring it to the M&G tomorrow and you can tell me if it is my install or the top.

Funny thing is, earlier in this thread, it was mentioned that I would buy the Zombie back and re-sell it. I ended up with a 90 YJ in good condition that Eric took a shining to and we made a deal on it. I am getting the Zombie back now and will be re-re-selling it. Lol.....

The original Zombie is gone now. $2,000 to a Tehachapi mechanic who is going to put a 302 in it. The guy drove it home. It looked pitiful with 6" lift and 33's on it.
