You'll see shell casings all over the hills around here. (my fair share is out there) my brother lives in the hills east of bakersfield, and it's very common just to stop if there's a rattle snake in the road and pop its head off with a pistol. It's the kind of community where you're encouraged to hit deer when they cross the road. :P
