Postby garbageman » March 7th, 2013, 4:37 pm

So I need a shorter bumper my tires are rubbing. so I was origianally going to Hack the ends off this bumper but now im thinking of getting a shorty bumper set up for a winch and grill guard. I see that everyone makes a bumper? which should I get or what should I look for?

Like Brad said Olympic makes some good looking and tough Bumpers. I just put on their rear bumper and hit it hard a coule times on this last trip and it held up very nicely. I am very happy with the build quality.

so I ended up going with a poision spyder bumper which is a hell of a lot tougher than I thought. It was not much fun putting it on but I have ran into plenty of stuff so far and it seems to hold up. I put on some PS diff covers and they are a little to thick and was hitting my track bar. richard pointed out to me the other day how my front and rear diffs are both bent. so Im starting to explore the options of going to dana 60 front and rear. I weighed my jeep the other day and it weighed in at 6200lbs and thats without anyone in it.

Holy crap 6200lbs? That what my tow rig weighs

I would suggest a diet for your jeep before d60's the more the jeep weighs the more it breaks
