Broken trackbar bracket.

Postby VICTORG93307 » July 4th, 2010, 7:47 pm

Hi guys got my first broken piece on the jeep. My front bracket that holds on to the trackbar on the front Dana 35 of my jk started coming apart. There's about a 1/4 of an inch of contact between the bracket and the diff that's ripped off and the whole bracket is also tilted forward just enought to have the bracket off the front sabilizer to move to cut into the sabilizer. I hate the dunes. I'm asking anyone with a welder for help to atleast get the stock bracket back in there until I can find an after marker beefier unit to install. I'll be off tomorrow and hope someone could help. Thanks.

My rear bracket gave on the free way one day. I had a friend weld it back on and renforce it. one remedy is to get an adjustable track bar and renforce the bracket. I need to do the same to my front. maybe just renforce it.

Victor, I can weld it up for you. Give me a call at 706-1600. Only thing is that I'm leaving Wed and won't be back until Monday.

Call me and we'll figure something out. That looks like a nice bracket and would be nice to relocate the track bar if you do OTK steering later, but you might not need it now just to reinforce that mount.

Yes definatley reinforce, Richard looked at the weld on the bracket and he said it looked like a realy weak weld, plus he checked all the other brackets and noticed that chrysler only welds the outside of each bracket and not the inside  . Ill post pics later on today.

Give me a call on my cell and we'll work out a time, and I'll check it out. I'd say every Jk with a stock axle needs the axle side track bar bracket reinforced, just like every TJ, ZJ, XJ, WJ needs the LCA axle brackets reinforced.

I can look at the hitch also.
