Someone got into my jeep last night, they took the cable that connects my phone to the receiver, socket set, 3 led flashlights, tire deflators, & broke off the connector for my iPhone car charger. As far as I know that's all that they did.

Sorry mang thats the worst feeling in the world , You should put in an alarm if you dont already have one, I know they are annoying but I got one of the Viper with the remote that pages you when your door hood or anything gets opened, I also got a backup battery put in. I had my truck broken into and they went underneath the truck and cut the cables coming from the battery, so a backup battery is a must.

That's California for you... I guess the unwritten law of don't mess with jeeps is being broken a lot lately.

Last year they broke up a Mexican theft ring that stole almost 400 Jeeps from California, Arizona, and Nevada. They almost exclusively targeted "built" Jeeps.

Last month, the Long Beach police broke up a theft ring that had stolen 350 Jeep Rubicons from SoCal, mostly for parts:

It seems as though Jeeps, and Jeep parts are in very high demand.

They don't seem to be stealing JKs yet due to the chipped key, but it probably won't be long before they start doing that too. You live a few blocks away from me Larry, so I'm sure its just a matter of time before they ransack my Jeeps too. I'm definitely looking at alarms now.

Talk to my friend Dirty, hes prob one of the best installers out there. He has all his certifications from D.E.I the company that makes all the Viper, Python alarms. If you are going to get an alarm stick with the best Viper. D.E.I pretty much bought out every single alarm company to get they're patents and incorporate them into the Viper line. If you go online and check out they're entire brand catalog its pretty expansive. They even have an iPhone app that lets you start and unlock doors from wherever you are, and if you're at work and say your hood got opened it'll tell your iPhone of the break in.
