Looking for Local smog place with a clue

It is smog time again for my Jeep, I need to know which smog place in town has someone that will see a Carb EO sticker with exemption # and know that it can be smogged.

The jeep has a howell tbi sticker on it that is legal for the fuel injection put on it.

The last time I went to smog, the first place wouldn't touch it because it wasn't stock. The second place charged me, ran the test, then failed visual, because it wasn't stock. The third place wouldn't pass visual and logged into the network that the engine/vin were modified and to not pass.
Finally the 4th place, the guy working there had installed howell's system before and knew what it was and passed my smog and cleared the modified records outta the computers.

Since then i have moved and am looking for somewhere local, rather than drive 1.5hrs back to same guy.

So anyone have a suggestion for a competent smog shop, preferably one that will know what they are looking at.

And no I cannot get it smogged by the BAR Referree because it wasn't an engine swap, I called them last time and they said any smog station will do it.

Thanks in advance.

As Long as you have the EO sticker on or with you go to midas on White Lane. You can complain to the BAR about the other place. What they are doing is illegal. You can do what ever mods you want as long as it has a C.A.R.B. approval EO number.... Let me know the shops names and locations. A good friend of mine is the Supervisor of Enforcement for the KC BAR.. I can not stand people like that... The ones who are completely ignorant.... Like I say, "I can't deal with stupid."

It was while ago, I went through that mess the first time. Complaining to the BAR only goes so far, these smog shops worry about undercover inspectors and loosing their liscence and the fines. If they don't know what it is, even if it is legal, they won't touch it.

Thats the reason I am looking for a shop that specifically knows what a carb eo sticker is and preferably have smogged a jeep with a howell kit before. It saves a headache.

Took it in this weekend to American, thanks all for the tip, the guys there knew what they were looking at and doing. The jeep did pass which is an added bonus.
