Infectious Off-Road.com

So... for any of you that followed my [url=http://www.infectiousoffroad.com/PHPBB3/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1395]thread[/url] regarding CI4x4 and passing Pete and me up on New Years Eve when I was broke down on the trail... the end result was that I was banned from their website (as were at least one other person who didn't go with the flow, bashing me). Mind you, I was only attempting to point out to that club that they should be better citizens on the trail.... nothing more, nothing less.

So... what have I learned from this? CI4x4 is a bunch of dicks and I put them right up there with WOG.

Well, I feel that you were doing nothing wrong. I think it may be a case of guilty conscious on their part... Well, screw them. hang out with us.... We will hold Victor back from jumping on you...

Since this has panned out, I have become privy to a whole lot of dirt regarding this club and it's leadership. Mind you... all of it is hearsay, but things like:

1. The owner of the club raising funds for land use and charity, then redirecting some of said funds towards a personal off road trailer build.
2. Free parts and whatnot buying favor from the owner of the site (companies such as: GenRight, X-treame 4x4, etc.).
3. The owner of that site leveraging local 4x4 shops and then never returning the favor (free labor, parts, etc.).
4. The owner of the site leaving rigs stranded using bullshit stories such as they did with me (three known cases so far).

It now makes quite a bit of sense why I was jumped the way I was... the moderators are probably getting favors/free shit to continue the circus act of a club they have and the users are seeing these guys get showered by the vendors and think they must be gods of some sort.

I have also noticed over my short time there that the owner of the site speaks from some self promoted rung of authority and knowledge, but taking to several folks that know him... it is total bullshit.

So the high and mighty line they fed me after their club just blew by me was apparently their "holier than thou" attitude. If you disagree with the owner/mods... you will pay. They edit posts, delete posts, and ban users for disagreeing with their gestapo reign. And in my one experience and the stories I have heard from others, they lead trail runs like some sort of military operation with commander bulldog (site owner) playing Hitler himself.

My opinion is that people like this hurt the offroad community. As I said before... this smells a lot like Project JK.

sorry for the bad experience.... I wish everyother 4x4 club could be as generous as ours... I would hate to be in a group that operatees the way I do... And if I were associated in an organization like that then I would certainly leave... Don't worry one day karma will catch up with them...

Well the few meets I went to they acted like I didn't exist or they where to good for me. I just wanted info on off-road areas around here. I'm never one two speak negative about anyone but you guys greeted me with open arms and my "other club" stickers came off the same day i meet you guys no questions asked after i realized how great of a club you guys are. As for leaving ANYONE on the trial that's a no go. What goes around comes around and if i see one of them broken down on the road I'll help so i came take s picture of my ride with our sticker towing theres

Good man Josh! Although they are dicks and did what they did.... I'd still not do that to them. I can see you didn't get poisoned by them.... So good, no retraining will be necessary.

Funny that you mentioned that, not to hijack the thread but when I got off work on Saturday morning I was headed to vons and there was a dude in black tights, denim mini skirt, long blond wig, and make up hitch hiking on north Chester. I told the lady in the store and she said he was just outside the store with a bicycle a little while ago. Talk about sick!! He needed to be south of the tracks if he wanted some action.

On a side note.... I saw that fuck stick that runs CI4x4's new rig at a local shop. Turns out that he sold his TJ to but a XJ and had a local TV show put a bunch of catalog junk on it for free. Turns out this local TV show (Xtreame or some shit like that) couldn't get anything to work... leaky tcase, no 4wd, half the wiring not connected, etc. and the local shop in Ventura (Off Road Werkz; which by the way is a great shop) had to fix all that shit.

Not that it matters, as the owner of CI4x4 would never put his rig in a situation where 4WD was actually necessary nor where a scratch could actually happen (e.g. he claims that West Dry is the hard area at BC109).

Yeah one of the members got offered to have a show on the outdoor channel. He is suppose to find random people with a good story to redo there rig from stock to modified. All the people they are doing are members and they have these made up stories. I'm just bummed I wasted gas and alittle bit of my time going to a few of there meets

If that is true (making up stories to be in the show so they can build club vehicles at the show's expense), thats pretty F'ed up. If they really did that, thats a whole new level of bottom-feeding.

So.... Pete tells me that he was also banned from CI4x4 as well. According to him, he posted some pics of our HV run, the recovery of the YJ with the broken rear axle, and mentioned he was from Infectious.

Apparently they are cleaning house over there since I brought up the faux pas they made on New Year's Eve.

For those that know... this John person (CI4x4's own Kim Jong-il impersonator) is apparently running another JK-F. These kinds of people are bad, for not only our sport, but humankind in general. Very sad indeed.

So... if you have a membership over there and care to keep it. Don't mention Infectious.

I'm just a regular Joe, so pardon the un-solicited advice. But you'll probably live longer and have less stress if you just "let it go". Maybe focus some attention on the people who have done right by you. A little forgiveness goes a long way. Now before I get bashed for my "turn the other cheek" approach, I have to say there was a time I was Reverend James.... I wouldn't be here today without someone forgiving me.

What I can't stand is that people are focusing all on drama and nonsense but we all enjoy and have the same hobby. If you on the trail and someone sees you broken down and passes by you without helping. brush it off and one of us WILL either be on our way or WILL come and get you. A good rule of thumb even though everyone has there own life is to go with a buddy on each trail. There are alot of clubs and even solo drivers that know CI4X4 are only about helping each other so it will come back to them. One of them will be having a hard time and when no one helps they will realize it sucks to be cold. Even my worst enemy will get help from me out there cause i couldnt live with myslef not helping out someone will the same lifestyle. we are make this sport and we all make this life what it is. I don't know if it already exists on this forum but we should be a point of contact page with numbers so if someone needs some help they can have some numbers. im sure that you guys already have each others numbers so just make sure someone always knows when you offroading.

I couldn't agree with you guys more. I don't think we should all go out and be friends with them but we also don't need to sink to there level. The ones that are the bad eggs will get theres someday and not all people involved with them are bad they just don't know whats going on. We don't want them to come to our site and think that we are just like them we must show that we are better.

Im with GJ we cant sink to there level should take every chance to humiliate them. Yes Offroad werks is a awsome shop for everything. Who is also not a fan of cuminjected 4x4.
