How to Setup a successful run.

Here is the trick to putting together a successful run. (Well at least what has worked for me.)

First I call a few people I am close with to set up a core group to go on the run so no matter what we are going. Then I go and post on the site so anyone else that wants to go can.

A lot of the time people will read the post and show up even if they did not reply that they will. A general post of "let's go here" with no concrete date/time generally has not worked for me or others on the site.

People are strange....if there aren't people setup to go and/or a date set they will usually blow it off. But if there is a date set and a small group going people will generally show up.

And even that formula doesn't work all the time, that's why you have the run setup with one or more other core people so no matter what you will have a good time. So I guess the moral of the story is to use the site to make a friend or two and then set runs with them and then post the run for others. That way you are never left sitting at the gas station by yourself or not bothering to go because nobody replied and then having people show up at the gas station wondering where you are.
