Odd axle setup.....

So, I have a bad CV joint and RCV will be taking care of it under their amazing warranty.

I can't think of a reason this would be bad, but thought I'd run it by some brilliant minds! :Thumb:

I am planning on pulling the entire side, pulling the CV to send off, and was thinking of putting my stock shaft back in it's place while I wait for my CV to come back.

Any one see any issue with doing that?

It's not just to keep the rig on the road, if that was the case, this wouldn't be necessary. BUT... I would like to wheel in the two or so weeks it will take to repair/replace the CV.

Do it! Ain't that the reason you held on to the stock ones? Just in case you needed it?

Just make sure you notch the support beam on the tranny. It'll rub when the front diff drops enough to break the cv on the transfer case part of the driveline.

sent from HTC evo iPhone killer.
