Oct meet and greet at G&G?

Postby G&G Auto Repair » October 7th, 2011, 8:45 am

If you all are interested, I'd like to offer to cook burgers for everyone and have the Oct meet and greet Thurs the 13th at G&G. We would provide food and drinks, BYOB. The flex ramps will be there, and the tires to play on. If you'd like to have a small raffle to raise a little money for the club we'll provide a few items. We can start cooking burgers around 6:00.

What do you think?

Ok.....for all those concerned......the Spartan Locker broke on the TJ at the meet and greet. I got home, pulled the diff cover off and the internals for the locker came falling out. Hopefully they have a warranty.....It'll be back to open diffs in the little Jeep until I decide what to do with it. I will never buy a ratcheting locker again.....they make way too much noise!!!!!!!!!!!!! and oh yeah, they break in a stock TJ on 31's with a 4 banger, on 35 psi.....lol

The gears and axle shafts are just fine.......Just the locker itself is toast.

Some boom toys here and there too.

Well, that's good and bad news. No one likes to break, but the lunchbox locker is cheaper to replace than the the ring and pinion.

Glad you had a good time.

Thanks to everyone who came out. It was a good time and we're happy to do it. Thanks to Dale's light bar there was plenty of light on the obstacles.

Jim won the free oil change, and I think Dale won the free complete diff's and t-case service (??).

Oct meet and greet at G&G?

Postby Zak.Taylor » October 15th, 2011, 7:45 am

I don't mind breaking things too much. Of course it's disappointing but it comes with the territory. Just glad I kept the open diff internals so I can get it back on the street while I negotiate the warranty issues with randy's. Had it in less than 45 days
