I don't kow if you guys are interested, but you think there is a way we can donate a little of the money we have collected and donate to the jeep build, we don't have to send much, and every little bit helps, we can send some stickers and maybe a t-shirt too, here is the info:

Why don't you see about taking up donations at the next M&G... That way we don't have to use the actual "Club Funds" I am cool with throwing in 20 bucks..

I never thought I would say "good idea", "straight", and "Trevor" in the same sentence, but I'm going to have to make an exception this time;

STRAIGHT up TREVOR, that is a GREAT IDEA!

We are trying to raise money to keep the trails open. Since we are an off-road club and are on the trails every weekend, many felt that the club was loosing focus on why we exist and wasn't doing our part to keep the hobby alive.

Also, we are trying to become a legitimate non-profit club, which will require lots of fees and an annual insurance policy. Yet nobody wants to pay any dues. Therefore will will have to raise money to pay for these things.

I make personal donations to many organizations, including American Cancer society, Friends of the Sequoia, Cal4wheel, National rifle Association, Cal Guns foundation, our local SPCA, Wounded Warrior Fund, Heritage Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, and American Legion. But people in the club have different political views, different opinions on charitable organizations, and varied priorities in their personal lives. We have gotten requests from members to donate our funds to dozens of different causes that were important to the individuals. All the while, Chris from the Stewards of the Sequoias has been exhausting tens of thousands of his personal income fighting the Sierra Club to keep Freeway Ridge open, while our club runs it every month oblivious to his efforts.

Set up something for SPC Brewer. Find out what parts he needs for his Jeep, and I'm sure several of us will take care of him :salute:

ok, sounds good, I talked to Armando Verdugo with Wheelers4Warriors and he said all the big things are taken care of, just working on all the little things, but a monetary donation would help, I will not be able to be at the Meet & Greet on the 10th, (work) but if someone can collect some $$ and I can get it at the parade, I will get with the other dog and get the stickers and a t-shirt and send them, the reveal is December 3,2011, wish I could be there! :salute:
