Legends Class:

Still working out all the details...but here is the basics.

Car still must pass tech

Single Shock per corner
6.2 Liter N/A motor
6 or Less Cylinders can have forced induction
2 seats
Front Engine
37" DOT Tire

I know most guys have more tire...but 37" DOT's are plentiful, easy to get sponsored for, and cheap even if you have to buy. Plus you don't get into unobtanium axles to make them live.

Cap the motor displacement and tire size and make it a fun and affordable place to race.

Both new classes would race in the Smittybilt EMC family of races.

My buggy should be able to run legends class with a new fuel cell and some 37's. I'd love to run some of the short course races in it, that would be fun.

Legends look like a class that will blow up to me, dave said he expects 10 at a race i think he is grossly underestimating the number of people that could change a few things for under 2k and want to try racing without building an all new rig or making a huge committment.

So anyways im picking up some coilovers tomorrow...see you at the starting line

Plan on some good bump stops.

Are you mostly interested in KOH or in some of the short course races? Do you have a large savings account?

I was actually considering building a whole nother rig for a mix of desert long courses and koh stuff, with this new class will be easier to fit it into a class than build a whole new rig.

Id like to get feet wet and maybe run 1 or two full races and see if i really want to commit and make a larger investment.

Good on you Matt :Thumb: . Looks like some fun shit beating on your rig against other like-minded people.

Hmmmm, all I would have to do is put 37s on the buggy - and when I upgrade engines to a 600HP 6.0LS, I will still be legal :brows: .

I also agree that they may be underestimating this class; 99% of buggies out there would just have to put 37s on and make a few cheap tweaks.
