If you own a JK and wheel it moderate to hard and are running 35's, get the front axle tubes sleeved or gussets. I'm looking at having to replace my front Dana 44, and from our research this to a problem because of thinner tubes on the JK axles. High dollar lesson for me. :(

Bert:

I sent you an e-mail. The poly set up is some time out I am sure, and yes going to be pricy. It looks like parts and labor are going to be around $1300 not including seting up the gears etc. If you are not wanting that kind of cash to be spent, take it off and send it out to Currie to be fixed, that is going to cost labor etc. Like I said, it may be worth your deducatable, then get it replaced and get it sleeved and gsseted ASAP. This is a good post and really a serious problem for the JK guys!

I was way off on the price and timeline. These are ready now and will run about 800 completed. I had mine done and it is down right sick. I had my axle retube with Chromoly tubing, Gusseted, and trussed. All of the crappy OEm bracketry is replaced with nicely welded think components. Apparently, the turn around is about a week. Give Poly a call if you are interested.

Hi Luke,
Insurance is pickup the replacement, so while it's tore down I'm having it all upgraded with tubes and C gussets. Chris over at Nellos Custom Fabrication Shop is doing the work.

Are you re-tubing or sleeving the thing? Glad to hear they picked up the bill.
