Hey,
I'm seeking info on the BC109 Trail in Lockwood Valley. I'm gonna be running it in May with a few friends.
Where exactly does the trail begin/end?

When I get dates and times finalized, I'll post the run in the upcoming runs section...but basically my plans are:
Thursday - Gorman
Friday - BC109
Saturday - Freeway Ridge
Sunday - putts around Pinos and Frazier.

I may shift everything forward one day (BC109 on Sat.) and just putts around Thursday locally to Frazier Park.

Tnx

Ok - now I normally sleep on the way up there - but Domes Springs trail 109 is a lot of fun, it starts in the riverbed just off the main trail and goes for a couple miles and then gets so tight that you have to turn around and come out the way you went in. The boys will have better info - but there you go

BC109 is a great trail.

It is about 20 miles down Lockwood Valley rd. You will see a sign that says Dome Springs. Right after you get off of the road is a great spot to air down and disconnect the sway bars. Follow that trail for a short while keeping an eye out to the left; you need to drop into the wash bed as soon as you find a good spot.

You will travel up the wash for a little while traveling up it is better to stay to the left but the best part of the trail will shoot off from the right. You are going to travel up the main wash for about ½ a mile. At that point it will start to become a little more difficult and as you travel become more and more difficult. The trail will finally dead end at the top and you will have to turn around and come back the way you came. The entire trail is about 5-6 miles.

If by chance you can make the BC109 trail on Sunday I would love to join you. I bet a few from the group would love to go if they have the day off.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Hope to see you on the trail,

FYI, I will probably make BC109 run on Sunday. I'll definitely post up the run when it is finalized.
