does anyone know if you can you use the 5.5 RE la control arms with 4.5 inch springs?

[color=#00FF00]The long arms themselves are the same pat number for 3.5"-5.5"
RE4000 left

Yep, They are adjustable arms so you will be good to go. 
You'll may need to shorten your arms a little to line the axle up with the upper spring holders and reset your pinion angles. Just a little if at all.
