Currie anti rock with stock suspension?

Currie anti rock with stock suspension?

Postby Jeremy » January 15th, 2011, 10:32 am

I ended up breaking the swaybar link on the freeway ridge run the other day.

I can think of three ways to fix it. I can just replace it with the stock part, buy disconnects, or a currie anti rock with shorter threaded rods. I haven't decided what I want to do with the jeep yet. I kind of like the idea of a tube fender LCG build. If I get the anti rock now and get a lift later I can always use the longer threaded rods that come with the kit.

What do you guys think? Do you like the anti rock better than disconnects? I don't want to buy disconnects and wish I had bought the anti rock later.

The anti-rock works better on the trail, and you don't have to disconnect it. The stock sway bar works better on the street. Depends on what you're after.

Anti rock is nice more stability on the trail, however I've found you get more flex with disconnects... which is better for rocks! But than again, what do I know... lol

I just boought a stock swaybar link and some pins to make my own disconnects. Later when I decide what I want to do with the jeep I might upgrade.

I got the jks disconnects and am very happy with them, easy on easy off you don't have to be on perfectly level ground.

I have the currie antirock both front and rear and i am very happy with the system, it works great for me...although you will feel a difference when driving on the street, a pretty big difference....but the reason i like them is because they are adjustable, you can have them be as loose or as tight as you want.....and it just saves you one more step before wheeling...then all you have to worry about is airing down, one more thing they are a little bit expensive which is another downfall.

Lowes sells a 7/16" and 1/2" pin. The bigger one fit tightly on the new swaybar link but I had to use the 7/16" on the old sway bar link.
