Who has a RTI ramp or an old car I can climb on?

Postby munepit » August 9th, 2010, 4:08 pm

Hey guys and gals. I'm looking for a RTI ramp to test my junk. I have to check my front shock mounts and also see how much I need to move my front axle forward and cut my front fenders.

Thanks.

Let the flaming begin!

High road enterprise has an RTI ramp, they have shop night on Tuesdays. They might have it at 4 wheel parts on Saturday, they have in the past.

I will try and make it. I need to figure out a few things with my front shock mounts. I think my shocks are bottoming out way too soon. Thanks bud! See you there.

That would pretty cool if you did? Maybe we could put it behind the shop so I wouldn't get flamed so bad!

Could just do it on a lift. In most cases the suspension won't droop or compress as much when articulating as it will when stuffing it on a big bump or fully extending it coming off a big bump. Unbolting the bottom of the shocks and letting the suspension droop all the way will tell you where you're at, then measuring shock shaft showing and comparing it to the bumpstops tells you where you're at on compression. If that's adjusted right then articulation takes care of itself. I can put it on a lift for you. It's also the only way to make sure your driveshaft joints don't bind at the pinion at full droop.

Thanks for the offer, I might take you up on that. How much would it cost me to install ring and pinion in a dana 60 front? I have the axle shafts out and its not installed. I could bring it in the back of my truck. All I need is a master install kit, then I will be ready to go. Thanks!
