Why not PM GJ, he already has an outlet and it would be cheaper.
Not trying to toss a wrench in here.... but why?

Doesn't GJ have shirts and have this taken care of (setup fees and what not)?

If he doesn't and to keep you from spending so much.... another idea that was mentioned is Zazzle. They aren't cheap, but aren't expensive either and the shirts, hoodies, mugs, whatever can be custom made to order. Just an idea. Although... I have no idea what their "digital printing" means or the quality of that?
I made a shirt with zazzle maching ours. It was 36 bcks plus shipping... FOR ONE SHIRT..

I sent a PM to GJ about shirts and stickers. If I remember t-shirts were like $20.00 and stickers $15.00 (two door size). So maybe he can place orders and I can pick them up if his connection is here in Bakersfield. So I'm waiting for a response from GJ.

Cool.. if it doesn't work out. So everyone knows. This company I am looking into charges 6.95 a shirt and the set u charge is 95. I wouldn't mind eating the set up charge... Just a thought... So this means everyone would only pay 7 bucks for a shirt instead of 20...

T-Shirts anyone?

Postby VICTORG93307 » January 20th, 2011, 10:53 am

Why instead of paying 7 a shirt divide the setup cost between all who will be buying the shirts? I'm pretty sure with all the people there this weekend 50 shirts sounds like an easy target. So instead of 7 a shirt charge 9 it's a two dollar difference that I'm sure no one will complain about. I'll order 3 myself. It's tough times right now and 95 will get you some groceries. And it's true I've been waiting months on shirts and stickers too.

Shirts from GJ.... if I recall correctly are a ten spot. Not sure about getting them? Maybe we can find out who GJ used to make the shirts and thus bypass the setup costs. Just an idea.

Stickers from GJ.... forget it. They are completely hosed. GJ needs to send back his current stock and find another supplier. The stickers were cut wrong and will not work. DO NOT BUY A STICKER FROM GJ RIGHT NOW! Sorry GJ, but it had to be said.

I think considering we will have nearly 40 rigs there and tons of people even with the setup fee it'll still be less than the 12 we are paying for now. If we divide the setup fee even at 50 shirts it's still only about 9 a shirt. And we will all get one. I've been trying to get a shirt for a while and honestly I don't want to wait anymore if this is a viable alternative. I mean if it where 25 a shirt ok maybe let's wait for gj. But at 9 a shirt? I honestly think that with all the people there 100 shirts will be hit. Everyone there with family will get atleast 2 or more. Hopefully we can get kids sizes, and I know Abendx is dying for his pink with his trademark rainbow on his chest.

GJ used the Kern High School District, I believe it was the Special Education department, they did them as a project, all the $$ that was made on the shirts is going to a Veterans fund(no not me), and they were only $10. I text him earlier, i am waiting on a reply, I am sure he still has some t-shirts, and as far as the stickers go, I was planning on painting mine on when the camo work gets done(after more body work now), that way it will stick :yup:

I forgot it was the Special Education department, Paula knows the gal that runs it. I will have her call the gal and see what we can get started.

There you go.... it can be done for about the same AND benefits a local charity. WIN-WIN!!

Maybe the smart move is when new shirts are obtained, to keep a local stock in Bako.

I have another idea I will run by GJ.

Bert is correct. I have been using Heather at the High School.

She already has all of the designs and screens ready to go.

No setup, no minimum.

Sorry I haven't been around. Did you guys take an order at the last meet and greet? If not I can start a new order on the forum and then Bert has volunteered to pick then up and distribute them.

GJ, if you talk to her tomorrow, ask her the cost of the t-shirts and long sleeve t-shirts and hoodies. I will get a list of who wants what at the run this weekend at Hungry Valley. Sent me a text with the $$$ for each type.
