Little jolt

Little jolt

Postby REDxj5150 » January 20th, 2011, 12:24 pm

Just about every morning when I'm going to school the jeep will do a little jolt under acceleration. Its not always in the same gear, but frequently happens about the same distance into my drive. Some can feel worse than others and sometimes it happens when I'm stopped. When that happens it will occasionally die. Anyone know what is going on?

One of the hardest things to diagnose. Could be CPS. If it doesn't do it long enough to set a check engine light then you have to drive around with the scanner hooked up and hope it does the hesitation and hope the scanner can pick something up.

Yeah it doesn't bring up the check engine light. I was also thinking it might be the cps. Everything else ignition related works well, and with all this talk of bad cps's I just couldn't help but wonder.
