I've run the KM2s and thought it was one of the best tires I have ever owned.

I haven't run the other two, so can't give you any feedback on them.

Check tirerack and america's tire for pricing though.... they should be less expensive than the local shops, then take that pricing into a local shop for a price match.

My KM2s were one of the best radial tires I had ever owned, I sold them to Henry and now Henry is kicking ass on buggies in the dunes with them. The only problem is that they run smaller than the advertised size (but most tires do). But they do good on the street and trail and last a long time. They are also cheaper than the other tires.

Like B-rad stated, shop around and take the lowest advertised price to 4WP and they will match it; and get the warranty, our local 4WP store is very good about honoring it.

how much lift you have is going to decide on 33's or 35's, your biggest restriction will be the rear, you can't cut as much in the rear as you can in the front

Becka, IMO you are going to need more lift than 3" to take advantage of 35s with your XJ.

I just bought a set of bfg all terrains for my truck, no one came close to the price I got from American tire depot in Bakersfield, not even tirerack.com... There on Rosedale hwy and Clark ( i think) accross from the Nabors well service yard. I'm a bargain shopper, they were about 400 dollars cheaper than the others in town.
On the Jeep I'm running goodyear MT with Kevlar, I love em.
Happy shopping. James

i definitely say stick with the 33's for the lift you have, and get the bfg km2's.

if you went up to 35's would definitely need to regear the axles. with 33's can live with the stock gears for a while. not to mention the need of more lift for 35's and other headaches that come with them.

your xj has the d35 in the rear, definitely dont want to run 35's on that axle.

to get to 35-37 range on the xj will need: gear change, more lift, change rear axle, and probably rear d-shaft.

I have seen xj's on 33's do well in a lot of places, had one in a group of us at the hammers, with driver skill(bravery haha) he followed the 35+ wrangler crowd with no problems.

^^^^ what he said. Remember, Goatman kicks ass on 33s with his XJ - so you definitely won't be undergunned on most trails.

Hey becka I just ordered a set of 285/75/16. ( 32.8 almost 33) general grabbers RED LABELS from Americas tire on Rosedale for 1100.48 thats with the protection plan for the life of the tire.. Free replacement with on or offroad damage NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!! :Thumb: :Thumb: Mounted & balanced free rotation and all that good stuff!!!! I just thought I would let you know!! :yup:

You might want to look into the grabbers... It's a pretty bad ass tire and I heard they are rated @ like 50,000 or 60,000 miles... Ohh and you can get 0 percent financing for 9 months OAC instead of dumping 1100 all at once :thankyou: Thought I'd throw that out there too :salute:

You're right under the threshold of needing to have a slip-yoke eliminator. It takes a giant leap to run 35s. Get the 33s and start saving. You'll need 4.88s, several more inches of clearance, an SYE, and a driveline to live comfortably with anything bigger. Oh your front axle shafts too.

I love my grabbers, they are wearing very nicely, the on road performance is awesome very lil noise. If and when I need new tires I'll end up getting them over again.
