I.C.E. recovery vehicle

Postby Desert Dog » February 21st, 2011, 8:33 am

My new project, and the future I.C.E. recovery vehicle. Its a 1970 Kaiser-Jeep duece and a half, bobbed to a 4x4. 49" goodyears, LDT465-1D turbo diesel (multifuel), 6.72 gears, and less than 6K miles on the meter. Im going to restore it and add some bling like, lockers in the 2.5 ton Rockwells, manual hubs, front and rear winches, tool box, air-ride seats, stereo, CB, pyrometer and fuel tune, electric wipers, off-road lights, 7-pin civi 12-volt trailer plug, snorkel, and flipped hubs. This thing is a beast for sure; Loud, big, and lots of black smoke - this is going to scare the crap out of liberals. Gonna show the ICE logo too!

That's pretty awesome. I saw one recently driving up hwy 65 that looked alot like that, really cool.
Can't imagine what could be done to make it any cooler than it already is. :Thumb:
Just watch your thumbs....I've seen guys break em in rough conditions when the front hits a rut or something.

We saw one of those just last night, south of wilson, were an xj usually parks. Was it same one?

oh and you are required to take that to all major events with your jeep loaded in back, then we can stack all the other jeeps on it.

Nope not me. I have seen 2 other bobbed deuces in Kern, but they had smaller tires and one is camo. I already measured, and the bed is too small to fit a jeep  . but I do have an "obstacle on a trailer" idea for the parades and events.
