Most car manufacturers, many shops, and even the military are using water-based paint now. Even home exteriors are water-based paint now. This is because its cheap and it gets around all of the enviro regulations for solvent-based paints.

Its a military surplus vehicle I got on the cheap from a jeepin buddy. If the paint fades, who cares, Ill spray paint it desert camo .

The bigger the tires, the faster it goes, but the harder it is to stop.

Mine will do 63MPH in 5th gear on flat ground with 49" tires. Zak's bobbed deuce has 53" tires, so his will go even faster. You can also tune the fuel/turbo, but I highly recommend installing a pyrometer before doing that.

I've had mine to 75 mph per GPS with the 53's. GPS'd my first one at 66 with 15.50R20's on it (42" tall and 6x6) That was just about redline though, and they don't like that for long. These trucks are bad ass, and the A3's are coming up on Gov Liquidation now for around 6 grand, but once its bobbed and has BIG tires, you're looking at close to 15k. The Cat diesel, and Allison auto, CTIS and power steering would be nice though.

Mine is officially up for sale. $10k Not a penny less, I'm not eating my toys for dinner yet. But give me a few months. Damn college!!!

well 60 to 65 would make me pretty happy if i could hold it with out pushing it too hard, i was kinda thinking about the A2 only because i got a buddy in wyoming who is running desiel mixed with used oil, making his fuel really cheep since he get the oil for free. i also here the a2 and a3 get pretty close to the same mpg any one know?, but i still dont know if i want the a2 or a3

The A3s get way better mileage, but are NOT multifuel engines (you have to run straight diesel). The multifuel A2s get really bad mileage, 8-12 MPG. The A3s are much easier to drive (auto, power steering, much quieter, better brakes/ 2 boosters vs 1) and have more power, just not as cool as the old school A2s IMHO
