question?????

Postby Josh JP » March 11th, 2011, 8:05 pm

quick question. I was under the assumption that on a tire for example "325/90/16" that the "32" would be the same as 32's or 336/85/16 that they are "33's" i might be wrong but is that how it it? need to know cause im buying some wheels/tires tomorrow...

:lol2:

Sorry but that is NOT how it is...

Example325/60R20
325 = section width in mm
60 = aspect ratio (60% of 325 or 195mm of sidewall)
R = radial construction
20 = means you have some blinging 20 inch rims...

You tire would be 20 inches plus 195mm on either side... 195 mm equates to about 15.35 inches...
So your 325/60R20 is about 35 inches tall...

BTW - I have never, never seen a 336 tire! Nor a 325/90...

those are not actual tires. there is a guy selling LT325/80R16 and said he thinks he has 38s and they look only alittle bit bigger than my 33's. i just didnt think they where and where trying to figure out what size they actually where and when i wrote the question i didnt have much time to be on the net.

Any tire company or seller web site will give the tire dimensions including the diameter of each tire size. For example, if the tire dimension is 32.5" diameter, it's like a 33" tire.
