Good video.... see you are wheeling with my neighbor. Tell him I said hi.
Yep, thats your neighbor. There were 52 JKs on this run, with half of them being vendors. Luckily, strict build requirements meant that all the rigs were well built and fully locked. Vendor rigs had the most problems and breakage; including the Owner of 4WP having to leave the trail early and Rebel Offroad rolling one of their rigs. But with all of these rigs, I was back to my hotel room by 4:00 pm. Not bad considering we had lunch catered and a big raffle at Rocker Knocker. Lance from Pirate4x4 was a great spotter. To put it in perspective, the RR4x4 run through Pritchett had 25 rigs and they didn't get back till after 7:00pm. I actually like Moab during the EJS; The trails are not to crowded on days when they are not being used by the event, the vendor shows are awesome, all the dirty hippies avoid Moab that week, and the whole town is party central.
I don't think I will be able to take a week off in October for another Moab trip. I have already taken 2 weeks off this year so far, and will be taking 2 more weeks off in July for the Rubicon and a family trip to Florida. Get a good trail map with GPS waypoints because the roads fork in many directions often and trail finding would be impossible on many trails without one.
