Dunsmuir, CA Exploring

If you went on a run this is where to brag about it!

Dunsmuir, CA Exploring

Postby RyanSBCA » June 3rd, 2011, 11:44 pm

So on my trip to Klamath Falls, OR I was able to visit a buddy who lives in Weed, CA. We went with a friend of his to explore some of the trails in Dunsmuir, CA. Nothing too exciting, but was fun enough to get out in the dirt... and snow.

Got the Jeep stuck on a rock while messing around and not paying attention, winched off it fine.
Now I know that my winch works well and the River Raider Skids did their job! (Pick to follow, need to convert the raw files to .jpg)

But, I did get some videos of a small hill climb. I was with an older Toyota Land Cruiser who was too long and kept loosing traction and getting stuck at the top.

The sadness of getting stuck on this rock in an open area is ridiculous, but thought I'd share it

I often suffer from the same ridiculousness:

At least yours looks more legit...
at least I was finally able to test the winch that came on my jeep... (we couldn't rock my jeep off the rock).

Whenever I tried to drive off it, I just spun like a top!

Thanks to Brad for these sliders! Now I just need to install the armor when I get some time and nerves to drill into the body!

I am not sure if I told you.... but I have one of those HF nutsert tools, the 20 dollar one that is suppose to be halfway decent. You are welcome to borrow it. Glad you like the sliders.... I loved them before they became problematic for me.
