I was thinking about going up Friday night and Camping with the family.

Here is what is posted on the Trail Blazers forum.

[quote]Unless something changes meet at the Mesa Marin Chevron at 6:30 leave at 7:00 AM to be at the stageing area, (Rincon Camp) about 9:00 AM. I just talked to Bob and it looks like we will be planting Oak trees up to about 7000 feet. The Stewards of the Sequoia will be camping at the meeting area, see below. Jon

You are invited to join in the fun at the Stewards of the Sequoia- Rincon Tree Planting Trail Appreciation Day.
There will be a family camp out on Friday March 27 at Brush Creek-Rincon Camp followed on March 28 by a Tree Planting Trail Appreciation Day. Bring the family along. Come for the camp out or just for the Tree Planting. This event is a great way to teach your kids about what it takes to maintain a trail, why we tread lightly and how tree planting helps our forest recover from unnatural Wildfires like McNally and Piute Fires. There will also be an optional trip to Pack Saddle Cave with historical information. Bring your dirt bikes, mountain bikes, horses or hiking boots!

You can see all the details in the Rincon Event flyer here:
http://www.stewardsofthesequoia.org/PDF ... anting.pdf

There will be a Professional Trials event at Keyesville on Sunday 3/28 so why not come up for the weekend, have a family camp, plant some trees, see the Pack Saddle Cave, watch the Stars & attend the Trials Event.

There will lots of other events going on in the Lake Isabella Area that weekend during the Living Green in Kern River Valley, such as star gazing with the Astronomy Club on Saturday night. See the schedule at the above link.

Hope to see you there!
Please forward this email to others who might be interested.
Registration is appreciated although not required by responding to this email.

We are still looking for volunteers for our other Trail Appreciation Days. See dates in sidebar or our Events Page.
