Looks like Randy and I will be going in on either Saturday night (7/16) or Sunday morning (7/17) to avoid the traffic on the trail. We will be driving up on Saturday, 7/16 and make a call from there whether or not to drive in to the camp site.

Where will the camp site on Saturday evening be???

Anyone else that wants to run the trail during the week to avoid the traffic, please sign up.

I'm still trying to get the time off... Testing is happening that week at work.

If I can, I am hoping to find someone with an extra seat coming from Ventura (Brad is your lady going?).

By the way, I would love to cruise to Dusy/Swamp Lake sometime... that trail looks amazing, but my rig wouldn't make it in it's current setup :( :banghead:

we ain't changing the dates, just gonna try to hit the trail early enough to get ahead of the crowd.
if we get caught behind a large group then we get caught behind a large group. we will find a way to take advantage of the down time.

we do need to figure out what time we need to leave, its about a 7 hour drive and we want to be at the trail head no later than 5:00am on friday morning. it is going to make for a very long day, driving all night then all day on the con.

we'll think of something

here's directions to the trail head from mcdonalds on 7th standard

i did find out that there is camping at the trail head so if we wanted to go up thursday during the day we could just pop our tents thursday night at the trail head.

here's a link that says we can camp at the trail head (and check out the camo)

I'm staging my truck and trailer in the parking lot of the Casino in Stateline I'm staying in on the first and last night. No all-night driving before and after hitting the trail for me. Its a 1.75 hour drive from Stateline to the trailhead. What time do you want to meet at the trailhead Friday morning?

I never said I could go for sure... and if I did, I had mentioned I would have to try and bum a seat LOL...
Wish I could... but testing season is upon me at work... and thus all work and no play makes ryan a dull boy :stirPot: cue the trouble when I become free of work...
