Wow... that sucks. Snow keeping the trail closed in AUGUST???

Maybe this will help.... there is another run that weekend if any of you would like to come. Look for BIG BEAR in the runs section.

I talked to the Forest Service again today, and Swamp is scheduled to be open on the 19th, but Coyote Lake trail just opened. So, we're going to stick to our Aug 12-14 dates and run Coyote Lake and Mirror Lake. We'll run the Red Lake/Coyote Lake trail, starting out Fri morning. The trail passes Red Lake and ends at Coyote Lake, which has good flat camping sites at the edge of the lake and a Forest Service john. We'll camp there Fri and Sat nights. Sunday we'll head out in the morning and run to Mirror Lake and have lunch, then head out and back home.

I'll start another thread about this trip.
