Replacement Headlights

Has anyone upgraded their stock headlights? What did you replace it with? Was it worth it?

I want to upgrade mine because the stock lights really really suck.

Replacement Headlights

Postby casaintsfan » September 4th, 2011, 11:42 am

Henry has the delta quad bars but he isn't happy with them if I remember right. I heard the LED's are nice but should be for about $600 for the pair.
Maybe pick up some new housings that use H4 bulbs and then pick up some bi-xenon (high & low beam) HID's

A friend of mine went with the Hella Euro lights on his LJ and loves 'em. Says they are the best $85 he's spent.

Look like they could be. It's hard to tell from the link but his are flat......there isn't a curve to the lens. I'm having him get me the part number so I will post that when I get it. Until then here is a link to a photo of his LJ with the lights installed. They look good with the flat lens of the stock fog lights.

Those are them........he has the 002395801-the H4 spec light. As you can see they are not DOT approved but when was the last time a cop checked your headlights......

Yes 4WP...he is a wholesaler. Just ordered mine from him-should be in Thursday or Friday. Not sure if 4WP will give you a hard time about it or not. If they do drop me a PM and maybe I can get them trough him.

4WP only shows the 301 part # online which is the DOT version so not sure if you can get them there......Check them out and if they are not available as I said drop me a PM. My friend lives down in Malibu and I'm in Oxnard/Ventura several times a month so getting them to you won't be difficult.

I did the upgrade tonight. You can see the perfomance here......

Bottom line is that while the low beams are not a lot brighter the projector pattern is much more focused and defined so they are much more effective. The high beams are focused and extremely bright-much more so than stock.
