A New Family from Bako

Postby Zak.Taylor » September 2nd, 2011, 6:06 am

Hi ya'll,
I'm Zak. My wife is Katie, we have 4 kids between us ranging from 7 to 18 years old. Currently we've got a 97 Jeep TJ stock on 31's (not for long!!!) A GMC Yukon Denali on 33's that came stock with rear "locker". A VW sand rail that hauls butt, and a few quads. We are looking forward to making a few trail runs with some good folks. My dad is a welder with 30 years experience, who works for discount rates on good peoples' 4x4's. Let me know if ya'll need anything welded up.

I almost forgot, we also have the other "Big Army Truck" that some of you have seen over off of Wilson. The one on 53's. Its pretty cool and I have troop seats for it so I can give rides to the kids. We are headed to pismo for Labor day with the truck if anyone will be there.

My contact number is 661-932-7001 if anybody wants to shoot me an invite.

Thanks. Zak

Is Chuy's on Rosedale on Thursday the usual club "meeting" spot? I'd like to come check it out. I had a vehicle in the Veterans day parade last year and I'd like ot perhaps roll with you guys in the one this year. Two deuces would look cool. I've got troop seats in mine too, so the kids can ride.

M&Gs are the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7pm at the Chuys on Rosedale. We have a cool 9-11 run scheduled next weekend on Freeway Ridge, you should bring the Jeep.

Yep, that was one of 3 that I've had in the past year. I buy them at the auctions. Good deals for a super tough, bare bones truck. The first one I had got a 4" lift, some trimming and 37" Goodyear MT's. Hummer surplus tires. Other than needing gears like no other, it was a great truck. Sold it and bought the Trans Am I used for highway driving and Honduh hunting now. Although my 4-banger TJ is a pretty good race for most of the little rice-mobiles.

Don't be a stranger......If I'm outside, stop and say hi.

I'm down. We are planning a trip to Dumont for Thanksgiving. Anybody interested? Its great for quads and all if you have them. I'll probably just bring the deuce and the sand toys. I've never been, but I've heard great things and my Pismo buddies are planning on going for several days. Should be a cool trip. THe more, the Merrier.

Yea same here... Do the whole turkey day thing at home. That's why we leave Friday, but we usually stay till Monday just to avoid the whole Sunday traffic thing...
