Shirley Meadows area THIS WEEKEND September 16-17

Zak, Katie and the kids are going to Cedar Creek Campground (4 miles southwest of Shirley Meadows on Hwy 155) to camp, shoot, and maybe Jeep a little. It is a decent place, free to camp, 1 outhouse if you really need one, there is a creek that runs through, its 10 mins from the top of the Freeway Ridge trail and a fun place to go. The more, the Merrier.....Call or text 661-932-7001 if you are interested. We are flexible on actual camping location if anyone wants to go and knows a better place in that general area.

if i get my shock mounts and brake lines before this weekend i'll talk to my girl about going, but im not so sure iron rock offroad is in any kind of a hurry to send me my stuff lol

What are you building / working on? My pops is a welder and works pretty cheap. The place we camp is car-friendly as well. I watched some idiots run their lowered 80's honduh accord through the creek after they trashed the old, antique cabin up there. Lame.......

It's an 89 cherokee, and my dad is a retired oilfield welder, only thing I have left to build are sliders, I'm waiting on my clevis tops for my bilstein 5150's and bar pin eliminators for the front and rears. Nothing severe, I posted pics of it in the readers rides. I'm actually planning a trip here in about 2 weeks to like Evans flat or wishon campground. I just found out my girl works Saturday 9-5. So this weekend doesn't look likely.

Bummer....well, I've got a Spartan locker to put in my little TJ this weekend anyway. I definitely want to get a camping trip going up there before it snows. We hit other campgrounds this summer (peppermint creek and pismo instead of shirley meadows area) but I still want to go back to my zombie hiding place before it gets to cold. Let me know how the ChairOkee goes. I'll help turn a wrench or hold a light if need be.
