Plenty of good ones. Can't go wrong with Full Traction or Rock Krawler.

BDS is pretty good. Didn't change my ride much and it's warranty for life. Anything breaks, they replace it.

And it's made in the USA

JKS makes a nice lift, but way overpriced for such a basic system. Lots of members have had issues with FTs materials and customer service - sad because they are a local Bakersfield company. Teraflex quality is starting to slide as they move production over to China. Rubicon Express has built nothing but crap for the JK since they introduced their first long arm and HORRIBLE customer service. You will regret bargain basement lifts like Rough Country, Trailmaster, Zone, Rustys, BDS, and Pro Comp; in my experience, these lifts usually develop problems fast. Your Grocery-getter will weigh between 5-6K and flex like crazy, so a good quality lift on your 4-door JK is more important than on past Jeep models. A shitty lift runs into problems fast on a JK.

If I were to build a JK from scratch today, I would go with Rock Krawler. Great material quality, well though-out system, and the best customer service in the industry. But also look at Poly Performance; they have a very dialed-in lift for the JK (and a local California Company). Mel at EVO also makes a good lift that seems to perform well. These companies are great because they actually wheel the piss out of everything they sell (instead of trailering around show rigs) and have lots of JKs in house for product development. Seems like I am buying something from Poly almost every month. These 3 companies also race/compete with JKs and run KOH in them.

Right now I'm looking at the RK 2.5" Stock Mod system and eventually upgrade from there to their Max Travel system. As much as I want to run FT, the JKO threads are enough to turn me away.

And I don't have c gussets yet, but I'm looking for a place that would weld them, know any?

Ive had FT complete lift kit on my jeep sense I bought it in 07. Really havent had any issues with the kit, just squeaky and rides a little stiff. The arms are just about bulletproof, havent been able to dent anything yet. The springs are not the greatest, rears started to sag so they got changed out. Fronts are still doing good. Bushings are getting worn now and will need to be changed out soon.

I would get a Rock Krawler kit if doing it over, just nothing was out in 07 when I bought the jeep so FT got my business.

Yep same here. When I bought mine in 08, you had FT, Rubicon Express, and Teraflex. All the locals here in Bako told me to steer clear of FT due to horrible service and product issues, and RE was having lots of issues (and I don't like radius arms). So I went with Teraflex, beat the hell out of it almost every weekend for a couple years, and have since bent/broke most of it over the years and now run a custom G&G suspension.

For someone starting out right now, get the RK kit. Their x-factor kits kick ass. Very well engineered, top-quality materials, great clearance, awesome flex with no binding, and good customer service. IMO, you should get the 3.5" kit right now, and later you can upgrade as your tires get bigger (and they will).

G&G off-Road on fruitvale has lots of experience putting sleeves and gussets on JK axles.

Yes, and we are also an RK dealer. If a new lift is going on, I'd strongly consider beefing up the front and rear track bar axle brackets to avoid common problems down the road. We use the JKS reinforcing brackets which are a very good product.
