Freeway Ridge next Sunday the 17th

This is where to post runs that are going to happen!

Postby Bert338 » May 18th, 2009, 9:30 am

Well, the whole job is going to run me about $1400.00 but I'll get the life time warranty on the axles. :?

Hey and don't feel bad, I much rather have it happen close to home instead of on the Rubicon or Dusy.

Besides;

Glad to hear everyone got home ok!

Thanks for everyones help! We couldn't have done it with out any of you! This was one of the most interesting trips up freeway yet! I will write up a run report soon Bert and I agreed on a name for this run.... Murphy's Law Run!

I have pictures that I will post on the pictures section soon!

Bert if you can upload your video to youtube I can put it on the video page.

Now, back to putting my Jeep back together with duct tape and bailing wire!

Sorry to hear about axle Bert, are you going to have Chris sleeve the axle tube?

Nope, the cost of the axles are enough.

I dont see why you would really need to sleve the 44. I can see trussing it but not really having to sleeve it.

The stock 44 share the same axle tubes as the 30

front swaybar link bent in half over the drag link arm not allowing the e-disco to reconnect. then the bolt in the bent swaybar link cut a hole in my new tire. only to be topped off with some ya-hoo shattering my front window with a rock on the drive home.

That sucks, sounds like they put the wrong shocks or links or something. I've heard of the links flipping all the way around. Just adding 2" spacers and not changing to longer shocks caused them to do it. And that really sucks about the window.

I hope the dealer or the installer takes care of you, check out the JK sites and search for the same sway bar problem and print them out so you have some kind of proof of how it could happen.

I hope this dosent discourage you from wheelin', hope to see you on the trails real soon.

Thanks
Larry
