Highroad Broken into!! Please Help!!

Postby Dirty LJ » December 22nd, 2011, 12:42 pm

I'm reposting this from Bakersfield4x4him.com. Lets help find this dirt bag!

[quote="Edwin"]I just got a call from Todd saying that he got a phone call that our club shop was broken into. as far as I know right now, the tubing bender was unbolted from the ground and is gone, the hobart welder, the plasma, all the air tools, all the grinders, 1 1/4 die, and not sure what else yet. Someone saw a black jeep cherokee leaving the shop around 5PM yesterday, 12-21-2011. I'm trying to find out more details at the moment of the jeep and if it was lifted, stock, etc. Todd also said that the tools looked like they had been rumaged through, so not sure whats missing yet. Mike's on his way there right now to check it out right now. Please if anyone has any information on this let me know or call Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111 or me at 805-215-3437. I'm going to get a reward together for any information leading to the theives that broke in. It was obviously someone who knew about the shop, so think of who you know in Bakersfield that drives a black cherokee. For those of you who don't know, our shop program is sponsered by our church, Hillcrest SDA Church in Bakersfield, and the shop is on the school grounds. It's gated and locked. Please keep an eye out and keep me posted if you hear of anything.

I deal with this type of scum daily, and regularly testify in court. 90% of the time its employees, friends, or family.

It was definitely an inside job; they knew the layout, what security measures needed to be defeated, when the shop would be empty, and that the reward would be worth the risk (they knew what was in the shop). The fact that a Cherokee was seen leaving the scene further adds to this suspicion.

The description of what was stolen and involved in the theft leads me to believe that more than one person was involved. There are two good things about that:
1) Dirtbags can't keep their mouths shut
2) Word travels fast in the off-road community, and we consider thieves to be the lowest form of scum.

Hopefully the dirtbags are turned in, and most of the property is recovered before it is bartered for meth.

I know the investigation is with BPD right now. But I know some people with KCSD that may help if it can be turned over to them.... Let me know
