ARB Heavy Duty Compressor Install

I cannot seem to post pics (they are always too big) for the install I just completed. One of the guys at "Ball and Chain" had an onboard air system and I decided to duplicate the effort. The install took a long time compared to how big the job looked. I purchased the unit from G&G. I mounted it under the hood on the drivers side under the vacuum assist diaphragm housing. There is a flat spot there that looks like a place to put another battery, but I do not see how a battery could go there. Figuring out a bolt pattern and configuration for the unit itself was pretty straight forward and did not take all that long. It was the electrical that took the lion's share of the activity. I did alot of cutting, soldering and shrink wrapping in order to make it all look like it was part of the original harness. I am glad it is done. I had a five (5) foot piece of S/S braided line fabricated for the supply line leading to an externally mounted quick disconnect (QD). While I had the mounting plate for the compressor out of the vehicle for drilling, I was able to utilize the void under the plate to mount an external PA speaker. Now that all is reassembled it looks factory and you cannot see the PA loudspeaker. Total cost came to three hundred eighty dollars ($380.00) in parts. I am reasonably focused when doing something like this and I estimate around twenty (20) man hours.
