Swamp Leke trip Aug 3-5

Swamp Lake Trail trip looks to be on Aug 3-5. This trail is in the Shaver Lake area, and is sort of a short version of the Dusy trail. The trail is 14 miles long, and we run about halfway and camp Fri and Sat night at Grouse Lake at 9100' elevation. The trail is moderately challenging with great scenery and a pretty nice camp spot right next to the lake. This is a nice trip because we chill for a couple days in camp, there's plenty of good wheeling on Fri and Sun, great Sierra scenery, and it's 3 hours from Bakersfield.

Hopefully nothing holds me back this year. I was really looking forward to it last year. With a bit of luck maybe I'll be taking the commando. :brows:

Yes, there is a parking lot at Dinkey Creek for tow rigs, and you can leave a tow rig where we camp. I'll tow mine up.
