Postby casaintsfan » July 18th, 2009, 11:00 pm

got invited to go to the rubicon by lbh (luke) a while back and am i glad i went!!
my oldest daughter (Laynna) wanted to go so i took her with me and she had a great time too.
i'm glad i got to go with some guys that been up there a few times and that knew the trail pretty good.
we went on 3 different trails the first day and then the rubicon on the second day and finished up on the 3rd day.
i didn't get alot pics of my jeep wheelin' (cause i was driving it) but there are a couple of pics from when i almost laid it on it's side. hey Luke, can you get some of the pics jim took? i think he got some good ones.

here's a link to a slide show of the pics Laynna & i took. oh yeah Luke took 2

Larry, glad you made it home. The trip was a good time and everybody is welcome to come along next year (as long as your rig is prepared and ready--I dont like spending the day doing a recovery all day). I will get some pics from both Steve and Jim, both took a bit I believe. Larry, it was good to have you along, like I said we do that trip 2-3 times a year so you are always welcome. Next year we will also run Fordyce and Barrett Lake, I am grounded this year do to the upcoming baby, so lets plan on this next year.

Heck no, i can always run local trails. I had plans to go back to Moab at the end of this month along with Fordyce but that was axed. Next year you need to come along on these others. I have Fordyce and Barrett Lake (both I think obsticle for obsticle are a bit more difficlut than the Rubicon. We also have two Rubicon runs, Deer Valley, Slick Rock, Strawberry planned and finishing up at Hell Hole. It would be great to have you along. You and i can always leave on a saturday night and come home Tuesday morning so you dont have to take anytime off work. With two rigs, it is quick. Let me know when you want to make these runs, perhaps next week.
