sound coming from my transfer case

Postby Codytaylor92 » June 3rd, 2012, 11:00 am

so i went wheeling today and after about an hour or 2 there was a buzzing noise and it kept getting loader and loader. after getting to the main road i let the jeep set for a while and took it out of 4 wheel, when i fired it back up the noise was gone. but it still worries me. does anyone know what this could be? and it was definitely coming from my transfer case

Check your fluid. Sounds like it's low.

That's what I was thinking. Just wanted to check. Didn't want it to be something worse. Thanks

It's a good idea to drain and refill it. It's cheap insurance
