2012 Rubicon Run

i pulled my jeep last time, kind of a hassel, this time ill drive my jeep, need to do some mods first,
are you guys leaving on the 16th or starting the trail the 16th i get of my hith on the 15th?

OP it would be nice if you could post some details of the trip and a attendance list? everyone here is ready!

We will Probaly meet at the mcdonalds on 7th standard on the 16th. It will be the travel day which we will get over there and find a camp spot or like larry said talk to craig about camping at the same place we did last year. the 17th we will run the trail and camp at buck and spend the next day fishing chillin.... etc... then sunday head out of trail and head home.

We'll see if Craig on jkowners will let us camp at his place again if not find a campsite for Thursday night.
Run to Buck island or the springs (what ever everyone wants to do) camp for a couple nights and head out Sunday.
But we'll see what everyone wants to do.
The extra night of camping is nice for a day of of relaxing, fishing, repairs if necessary, or just kicking back drinking Pepsi.

Im not sure if I can make it this year, depends on what days I signed up for with electrical school. It starts the same week.....Hopefully I put down Monday/Weds but I just can remember.

Rear locker is still F'ed up from last year and getting a nasty wobble on bad roads. G&G is in the near future I think.

no the 16th we camp .... the 17th will run half the trail and camp the 18th we chill out go fish hike whatever u want then sunday the 19th we finish trail and head home

I talked to Larry yesterday he said ha might go he don't know yet
I can't leve till the 16th I get off work on the 15th at 6am or I would want to go a day early

larry said its a 50 50 chance with him so I'm helping him out by letting you all know what's going on.
We're meeting McDonalds on 7th standard on the 16th ..... camping loon lake or Craig's place if he's open then camp either buck or springs the following day

I'm leaving mine at home but were taking the boyfriend (lake_v2).... we're towing his and we're parking tow rig And trailer loon lake

My question is, since I'll be going in early and you don't seem interested in my earlier offer, where will you camp Friday night? Buck or Springs is kind of vague.

Yes.... I have an extremely secure location (friend's locked/gated compound in Placerville). But, you'd have to go with me and your rig would have to be street legal as there is a bit of a drive from my friend's to the trailhead (~45 mins). If you can get off work early, I'd love to have you along!

brad, Friday night will be at buck or springs depends on what everyone wants to do . last year we camped at buck Friday night and Saturday night .... if your going in early then do ur thing and will just meet up with you and camp there .....

Yeah I'll just go with the group my tool pusher will tell me to kick rock if I ask him to leve early :( I'll just park a loon lake if I trailer my jeep
