Newbie from BAKO

Postby H. Badger » August 29th, 2012, 9:32 pm

Hey all I just bought a jeep for the first time in July, a 2012 JKUR and loving every minute. They salesman that sold the jeep to me invited me on a little trail run on the freeway ridge trail in the kern river canyon. I had no clue that this was where I was going with my wife and two kids but was ready for the adventure. I ended up finding out two of Infectious Offroad members were actually guiding the trip. I had a BLAST, my wife on the other hand was not expecting such a fun trail. Anyways I really liked the guys attitudes and figured I would check further into you guys. They showed me that even a stock jeep can do some amazing things. I look forward to doing some more outings with you all.

I am still bone stock and wont be able to start lifting and stuff till december or janurary so I will be asking a lot of questions on products and general 4X4 advice since I am new to offroading in a jeep, I have only done motorcycles in the past.

WELCOME!!!

You will be amazed at what a stock Rubicon can do, and even more amazed a what a Rubicon with a few mods can do.

We have lots of runs that are very friendly to a rig like yours. On September 30th, we plan on going to the 4wp Hungry Valley event in Gorman as a club. Its like an off-road park with obstacles for builds of all levels and its only 40 minutes from home!

If you have the 2dr silver jk with the pure jeep sliders I believe so. Also when Aaron drove his jeep or should I say slide his jeep on it's side through that narrow passage. Had a blast can't wait to do it again. But looking at the run requirements I need to pick up so gear before I can go again unless I bum off ppl till I can get the stuff.
