hello from Ridgecrest

Hi all,

I've been searching far and wide for a club close to Ridgecrest or in Ridgecrest that meets on days other than Sundays and Wednesday nights.

In my reading here I noticed a few runs by Lake Isabella and the eastern Sierras. I would love to hit up some trails with someone. I'm not an experienced crawler but have been around Jeeps and other 4X4 vehicles my whole life. My dad taught me how to drive in a Jeep Wagon but we never did any "good" trails growing up. I'm anxious to get out and see what my "new" jeep can do. It's a 97 TJ sitting on 35's with around 5.5 overall inches of lift with a 44 in the rear and what I believe is a 30 in the front. Both with 488's. No lockers that I'm aware of but quite honestly I haven't bothered to check. The previous owner said it had a Detroit in the front and a limited slip in the rear. I'm ashamed to say, I've only put 10 miles on it since I bought it two weeks ago. Life has been abnormally busy lately.

Anyhow, it's good to be here and I hope to meet some or all of you as time goes by.

Happy trails,
Woody

Welcome Woody. You'll like this group. Everyone is fun, easy going and willing to lend a hand if you need. Never leave a fallen comrade.

Welcome woody!

We run some trails out there near you all the time. Panamint Valley days is out there in Novemeber and Im sure ill head out there for at least a day or two. Several members ran Nightmare Gulch/Last chance Canyon this last weekend, which is only about a half hour from you.

Don't forget to post a pic of your 4x4 in the "readers rides" section.

Welcome.

I have friends in Ridgecrest and we go there to wheel regularly. You'll have plenty of opportunity to hook up with people if you hang out around here.
