What a huge Infectious turnout, and massive overall turnout. People were parking almost 1/2 mile away from the event!

Lots of carnage at the event, and as usual, most of it was the "crazies" from IOR.

I got there on Saturday evening at 6:15 and had the blender going by 6:30. We partied in the IOR camp until 1am, then moved over to the 4WP camp and did beer bongs and "foot freezes" till about 3:00, then moved back to the IOR camp were more members rolled in and we drank with them till after 5am. SOOOOOO, we were not feeling very "chipper" in the morning (unless you consider that our heads felt like they had been through a wood chipper).

The IOR carnage total that I witnessed was as follows:

Monepit = full roll-over on the rock climb resulting in VERY major body damage and 1 traumatized 4WP employee.
Aaron (floppy) = Floppy flopped again, in Henry's Buttcrack.
Beck*a*poo = Blown ring & Pinion
Victoria's TJ = Blown water pump
Crazy Sammy = front axle breakage
Roger = toasted transmission
Whitesnake = lost bead, had to remove beadlock ring to fix.
Rudy = major body damage at the end of the sluice box
Travis = major body damage at the end of the sluice box
GJ = body damage at the end of the sluice box
Bigfoot = body damage at the end of the sluice box
Aaron = body damage at the end of the sluice box

Im sure there was much more damage that I didn't witness or forgot due to all of the brain damage I did Saturday night :drunkbuds:

I started pushing my body back out last night. Had a scissor jack with a couple of boards pushing on it. Going to finish today. It wasn't looking so bad until my dad started pounding on it with a hammer. Now it looks worse than when I hit the damn thing.

Going through that sluice is just bad. Everyone around you makes you feel rushed, and you've got 10 spotters warning you about your bumpers, rock sliders or speculating that you're spilling trans fluid everywhere. It was just so frustrating to put up with it. The only one that knew what I was worried about, and had a full visual of what was my real problem was Zak.

Had a great time. I really think that event is growing a bit too much for the facility. The line for the food showed that.

Don't forget the fact that after he took his seatbelt off and just when it started to roll, the passenger door flew open!!!! . There was definitely more mental damage than physical :lol3:

That was one you wish you caught on Video! So much was always going on the whole event, that I took NO pictures or vid the entire time.

Travis, NO XJ without 37s and links is going to make the last squeeze without body damage, period. Even if your line is perfect, you will get rear corner damage instead of door damage. Its like putting a square block in a round hole. The only way to avoid it, is to go over the 5' rock. A samy or CJ can squeeze it, but thats probably it. The park moved that big rock in tighter when they redid the box late last year. Thatsqueezee was pretty easy before they did that. This is why most people exit the box before the end, except for the crazy IOR members who strive to defy the odds

And all of these big events are the same; you get dozens of drunk newbs trying to spot you. I just crank up the Iron Maiden, tune everyone out, and put on a show. The trade-off, is you get lots of entertainment. I like this event, I just wish I wasn't so hung-over this year

Here is my "damage" from the box. I don't mind much, the fenders are plastic and it gives the Jeep character.

Thank goodness no sheetmetal damage.

We had a good time this year, Infectious really represented well and put our name out there.

It was a decent shakedown for the whitesnake build, and good opportunity to relearn how to drive it.

tore a rear soft brakeline at the caliper(changing those to be more protected).

Pushed a tire out of the beadlock ring twice.. Going to Check that tire for damage or improve the beadlocks with anticoning rings

Need to shave the front diff some

Scored 1060 on rti ramp with 110” wheelbase, wich is a huge improvement over the leafs

Took the ”infectious” line at end of mini sluice both forwards and backwards

All in all good time and fun camping...

Looking forward to more great IOR runs
