[quote="Dirty LJ"]I thought you said your hammock thing was the shit no matter how cold it was and you never had any use for a trailer!!!

Nope.... my setup is rated to 20 degrees and I get cold (so I might be happy in there to the mid 30s)... you must have heard that elsewhere. The hammock is the shit though... very comfy way to sleep. Just not when the temps drop to under 20 and there is a 20mph wind.
As far as trailers go.... I am jealous of guys that have them (we're talking motor home here, right?). So I think you must be thinking of someone else as well.
Although, I used to make fun of the guys that towed their junk to the trail, but I became a full member of that club and well... I have to say, I enjoy being part of that club now. It's pretty nice being able to lug whatever I want, arrive rested, and have that security blanket in case I break.
edit: thinking about the hammock.... maybe I told you I could put a sleeping pad in there and could go quite a bit colder.... maybe another 10-15 degrees from what I read on the net. But like I said earlier... not really my thing to do it that cold. They also have the quilts that are rated much lower... maybe as low as 0 if memory serves me right... you could add a sleeping pad to that to get you lower. I tried the sleeping pad once, but felt it took away from the great lay the hammock gives.
