unfortunately there will probably be too many people out there to get a clear channel on CB. I think I'll put mine on 27, but I won't be in my jeep very much.

you're best bet is to just look left directly after the bridge.

Aaron.... 151.880 is a good start. We can move around if it is too busy, but there aren't too many open frequencies without a license... so I'd guess, just like Travis pointed out on the CB, it might be busy.

Legally, in VHF, we have these five:

151.820 MHz
151.880 MHz
151.940 MHz
154.570 MHz
154.600 MHz

I will not be there.... maybe you can convince Chris to turn his radio on, now that he has it working.

Those NAXJA guys all run VHF.... and they will know where we are at as I plan on wheeling with Avery on Saturday. Might want to go over there and see what channel they are on to have another option to find IOR. Plus I bet you could always go over to Hammertown, find Richard's tent, and ask someone there.

Aaron, At 10am on the 8th everyone will probably be out in the spectator areas watching the race. I usually head back to camp for lunch though, so may catch you there. HAM is a HUGE cluster fock during the race, 150 teams with multiple pit crews and hundreds of race staff all looking for band width, so I usually just monitor the main KOH channel to keep up with race info.

Ill turn mine on. I am borrowing a buddy's Ham and will be out there by then. I will also have my CB on but I don't know if there is a good channel. I'll post on here as soon as I know.

Also if it works I'll have my Cell on me 661-619-6242

Is anybody gonna be out there the eve of the 6th? If I can get off work early enough I may head out so I can be setup before the EMC.

Yes... the camp is just to the left, after the bridge. As of right now, there are four HUGE motorhomes and two pickups with slide ins. One of the motorhomes has a flashy thing high in the sky (attached to his enclosed trailer) and a couple of American flags. Currently Cliff, Bill, Joey, and Bob from the TBs are there and Ed, Crazy Joe, and Mike from the San Diego 4 Wheelers are there (actually, Crazy Joe is a former TB and lives in Bako). Joey has left his rig in camp parked... so it is a landmark (yellow, decently built TJ with a Full Traction banner on the windshield) and there is a very good chance that Bob's is parked there too (white, decently built TJ). Then there is Cliff, Bill, Mike, and Ed in their buggies.

Go fill in the campsite.... six of us left this morning.

Also Cracker and Ben H are over in the URF campsite... so you might want to stop there and drink their beer and piss in Cracker's cup.... he deserves it as he's a condescending piece of shit. They are also running much easier shit than Cliff...so you might want to consider that. Be forewarned... I held that group back considerably.

If you do go over there, be extra nice to everyone... trust me on that (there may be some bad blood). They are a good group of guys.
