Josh just needs to figure out the wiring harness right? Sounds like he is finally going to have the gears and power to turn those TSLs.

he's got a ton of details

it's running now, the drivelines are done. he's got fabrication to do
on the suspension, on the hood, and inside the body.
gotta drain, repair, and refill the rear diff.
and probably 20 other little things

PLUS: going to WORK

What kind of bugs with the steering?
I am looking into the TG steering and stuff.

we thought the orbital had failed but after receiving a new one
and having the same problem, we found a high pres. hose clogged
replaced the hose. took it on a run and at 20 miles an hour it was a handful
very sketchy, wild and unpredictable.
TG worked with me for quite a while on the phone
i took off every hose, ram, cooler, filter, blew everything out
replaced the filter, refilled, re-bled,,,,,, it tested ok at idle, but
out on the road it was still exciting to drive. boxed up the orbital &
sent it back again, should have it back by wednesday :dig:

Welcome to the wonderful world of full hydro. It solves a lot of problems, but creates many others.

Mine gets scary over 50mph on straight flat runs. If you talk to people on pirate, they will tell you "its full hydro, not meant for speed, deal with it", but I am not settling for that shit. I'm keeping the big ass 2.75" rockstomper ram, but I am redoing everything else. Like Brad, Im not going to scrimp on steering, In going with Howe stuff. going to start tearing it down in a week or two.

It took me a little while to adjust my driving style with hydro assist in my Jeep on the freeway (very touchy), so I am sure there is a learning curve with full hydro too. Hopefully we get the bugs worked out so we can race to the trail! It would be nice if it was just the orbital.

:drinks: :drinks:

I hate being one of the slowest mofos in the world when it comes to getting to the trails out at places like JV. My suspension, while very workable in the rocks, isn't setup for speed.... and well, I don't think I have a working shock, which might hurt speed runs. lol.

Anyways.... here's to lots of IOR buggies!! Roger, I think you started the current wave.

i am accepting donations for my roll in the current wave :thefinger:

i could really use some ORI's (16 in. would be fine)

brad,,, i'm positive, i'm the slowest to get to the trails
i have only 3 in. up travel, but,,,, i'd rather suck on the
flats and work well on the rocks,,,, then be half ass at both

I wont be far behind you on lack up up travel. After reading all of the issues you guys are having with full hydro I am gonna do a hydro assist set-up.

6.5 up travel in the front
7.0 up travel in the rear

we'll see how it works

Roger had issues.... no one else that I recall Chris. I think you'd be fine with hydro.... if that is what you want.

That should be good Roger. Its definitely enough shaft showing. You may have to play with your pressures, adjust the ring so the 2nd rate kicks in sooner, or invest in bumpstops to get it decent at speed.

my concern, at this point>>>> the truck seems very tall, high CG
it hasn't been out of the shop since i raised it. my orbital should be here today or tuesday
we moved the res. & filter to within 4 inches of the pump, got the "fancy" oil, just gotta
paint the new bracket, install the new orbital, fill, bleed, and test

please say a prayer for me :thefinger:

Keeping my fingers crossed for ya...

Hoping that the Trail-gear hydro assist and power steering system doesn't give me any issues.

it's now wednesday, 9 days since i sent my orbital back
to TG.
LAST friday, they told me they shipped it (from fresno)
yesterday i called them, and the warranty mgr. was to
busy to speak to me.
after several calls through out the day,(with the same results) i asked
for the tracking no.,,,,,, no one could come up
with it.

just do it by the book
i have been told now, that the res. & filter
can not be more than 18 inches (max) from the pump

you should be fine (i just have a "listening" disorder)

Ya I seem to have that same disorder according to my wife lol.

It's sounding like T-G's customer support is getting worse these days heck it was like a year and half ago that I had a issue with them and they got it straight quick but it was just a mix up with an order.
A buddy in Va is having issues with them lately also.

i'll be itchen to try it out, so maybe i'll see y'all out at the noob run :salute:
